Stefanie Taylor pushes the boundaries of design and material. Her jewelry is free form, organic and unpredictable. Each piece tries to excite the eye. Her jewelry is not intended to be worn as an accesssory. It seeks to draw attention to itself. She achieves her dramatic effects through unusual juxtapositions of shapes, textures and colors. She works in silver, copper, brass, gold, stones and beads. She welcomes commissions as a way to expand her own artistic horizons as she gives expression to the vision of her clients.

She studied art in college and later in South Africa, where she apprenticed under master jeweler Frances Robinson-Gierl.
