What you see is what you get. I
hope my pots speak for themselves. I want my pots to be strong,
vigorous, and bold. Each piece created at the wheel or by
hand-building is like itself and no other pot. My work divides
between sculptured and functional pots.
I like clay so
much I even enjoy wedging. In my studio, Work With Clay, I hold
classes and I'm happy to help other people fall in love with clay.
It is a thrill for me to look at pottery in the great
museums of the world and relate strongly to the pottery and the
potter. I can feel a kinship that makes me a part of the
continuous line of potters.
I have studied at the
University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, American University in
Washington, Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, Antioch at
Columbia, Maryland, and graduated with honors from the University
of Maryland.
I hope you want to touch my pots.
